Atlantic Xrossing is more than a travel tour company—it makes the impossible possible. One day, you could be enjoying some of the finest wines and food in Stellenbosch. The next, you’re watching southern right whales in Hermanus. On your third day, you’re swimming in the warm Indian Ocean in Umhlanga and enjoying a champagne lunch at the Oyster Box. Then, you’re off to a safari park to witness the Big 5 while savoring a typical South African braai in the middle of the bush. Tourism within South Africa is as safe as any other destination in the world, the perception to the reality is vastly different and as your tour operator we will keep you safe and updated of any risk if any for a trip to South Africa.

Is South Africa safe?

Most nationals can visit South Africa and stay for at least 30 to 90 days, depending on your nationality with no fees. The tourist is then granted a holiday visa on arrival, however once you decided to travel to South Africa, please contact us and we be able to confirm if any visa requirements is necessary

Will I need a visa?

No shots are required if travelling direct into South Africa from Europe, Americas or Caribbean. This includes Yellow Fever or Malaria unless you going to big safari parks in the northern part of the country. If you coming from a country that requires you to have a yellow fever certificate, then you need to present a yellow fever certification on arrival into South Africa.

Will I need any vaccination shots?

What insurance is required?

South Africa is a year round destination due to its varying regional climates and wild life opportunities. However Durban has a subtropical climate so their winters are typically as warm as Northern hemisphere summers.

When is the best time to visit?

 Once you made the booking and paid up, changes can be made however there will be a admin fee involved and any additional cost will be added depending on if you are upscaling or down scaling our services.

Can I deviate from my booking?

We will allow you full control of your holiday and budget, normally destinations like South Africa along with it world famous safaris, beaches , landscapes and wine routes is inaccessible for most budgets. What we do is provide you with a 5 star service however without the the expense, 100% tailored made. With all our tours, we offer you the option to choose how much interaction and help you want us to provide, thus those that have experience of adventure and exploration without a guide can do so.

What makes us different?

Currently all international flights will must be booked by yourself, as you can appreciate not everyone will embark from the same destination or at the same time, however we are actively seeking partnership with an excellent flight ticket provided to ensure you get the most trouble free and cost effective flights to South Africa. We can arrange to book your flights however there will be an additional fee of approximately £50 per booking.

What’s not included?

Yes of course, we want everyone to visit South Africa as soon as possible especially if it’s your first time, as we believe the friends you will make on your trip will ensure you will not miss too much any love ones back home and we believe you be the perfect ambassador to push the love of South Africa to those unfortunate not to go with you this time.

Can I travel on my own?

All accommodation will be booked as 2 people sharing unless you select otherwise, this does not mean you be buddy up with someone but single occupancy are usually charge a higher rate. Even though you won’t have to share a room we would love you integrate with all the other friendly people local and internationally and share a table with them for meals. We are confident that the sights and sounds you will experience will give you all something to talk about.​
